Welcome to the World Griffin!

*Not many new pictures here, if you are my Facebook friend.  Please excuse all the superlatives and overly excited language.  We're very much in the honeymoon period over here*

After what seemed like both a very long but also very fast pregnancy, Griffin Patrick made a speedy arrival into the world on December 3rd.

As soon as they handed him to me, I told Seth that I would do it again.  Hubs, being slightly traumatized by Griffin's intense arrival, immediately said, "Oh no you won't!"  Ha. Poor guy.

The big kids just adore the baby and are fighting constantly over who gets to hold him next.  Of course, they are also all exhibiting various degrees of flipping out too.  Smile.  They've been settling in a little more everyday, so I think when we go back to our regular routine this week they will be back to normal.  I hope.

We are so thrilled to finally get to see his sweet little face, one eye open and all.

We are blessed to live just up the road from Seth's family.  Griffin is a lucky boy to be so loved by so many people already.  (My side of the family will have to wait a few weeks to snuggle him, but they are no less excited).

These are happy days.

  1. Congratulations to you, Seth and the entire family.  Myrna wants to know the particulars:  Weight, Length, etc.

I guess I did forget to mention those! Griffin was 7lbs, 8 oz. 18 inches long. Are there others I'm missing?
